STERBEND - Dwelling Lifeless CD 2006 (NO COLOURS Recs.)
STERBEND
Dwelling Lifeless CD 2006
|NO COLOURS Rec.|
It seems to me that the influence of Varg Vikernes has spread itself more widely nowadays, I hear much more BURZUM-influenced Grim Black Metal music than for example two or three years ago. STERBEND is also from the mentioned league, these three creatures would lie if They would state that the earlier BURZUM materials didnt have a big influence on him! At first it was a bit borring tol isten to such long a monotonus songs, but after a while the Dark and Cold mood of this album catched me really deeply, I listened to it all night after a day I got the CD. If You know for example Hvys Lyset Tarr Os, than imagine something like that. But of course the members of STERBEND dont copy that album, They just got some feelings from there which was built into this more than 60 minutes long journey into the fog. Yes, it is as if You go more deepr and deeper into a foggy forest, and slowly all strength and willing to live would fade away Only the moonlight can show the way out from there But it is invisible becouse of the swaloing darkness The sick and morbid vokill of ??? is totally inhuman, its a creatures voice that suffers from life, and it lets you feel its own pain through it! As I said before, the songs are monotonus, so You wont find too much variations in one songs, but who the fuck cares if that two or three themes in a song are already perfect?! I liked the acoustic parts in some song sas well, these parts really fit into this kind of musick(ness), too sad that the guitarist didnt put some more of these into His creations. Unfortunately I didnt have the chance to read the lyrics, but I am sure that they arent different from the themes that I have mentioned above. If You are a deppressive and life-denying person, then go and get this release, hopefully You wont have to suffuer too much after listening to this
